Dallas Corinthian Yacht Club runs one-week youth sailing day camps on Lewisville Lake in Oak Point for kids ages 8-18, from brand-new sailors to those wanting to start racing. Camps run Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with five sessions across June and early July; campers sail a range of boats matched to size and skill, including Optimist, RS Tera, ILCA/Laser, 420 and Flying Junior dinghies, and mix sailing with games and time outdoors. Coaches are experienced sailors who place each child in the right boat and level, and the club also fields a junior racing team that competes on the Texas Sailing Association youth circuit.
