Unfortunately, the air quality is awful. Please be careful taking your swimmers there especially if they have asthma. One coach ended up hospitalized after a 4-day championship meet. Several others left with severe sinus infections.

Nice pool. Was there for a swim meet. Good facility. Large enough for the crowd. Plenty of bathroom space And ithe facilities. Parking is ok, but that's to be expected with a crowd.

An extremely heavy women turned my children and I away on 7/26/25 stating “ today is short staff , so we’re members only today “ this statement was not on their website and I drove 30 minutes away from home. I was considering joining the YMCA . After this unusual racial bias I refuse too, especially seeing that this place is nested in the city. I will follow up with a complaint to corporate.

Visited for the YSCAP League Championships at their indoor pools. The facility was clean, a decent amount of seating (compared to other area Ys that we’ve visited for events), and a nicely stocked concession stand.

We've been coming to the YMCA outdoor pool as city residents for several years now. In the summer of 2021 we got a summer membership; with staffing shortages and closure for an end-of-summer staff picnic we were barely able to use our membership and we would have been better off paying per visit. At least three times we showed up during posted hours and they were closed. We haven't used the pool much this summer, but here we are thirty minutes after opening and the lifeguards are waiting for someone to staff the desk to let us in. They are very polite and apologetic, and clearly doing the best they can. It's now 45 minutes past opening time. Water is still not turned on and two lifeguards are sitting at a picnic table, not guarding. My biggest gripe here is that, like every other business this day and age, the YMCA could be posting updates and closures to their schedule via social media, if not their website. It would be super simple to check and one would not be left a) leaving with a crying child or, b) waiting outside the gate in the heat for someone to figure out how to get the place running. I've never called and had someone answer the phone. Staffing shortages are understandable, the lack of communication is pretty baffling. Also, there's trash everywhere and the bathrooms aren't very clean. I'd love to keep coming and for this pool to remain a vital community resource, but geeze....
