Insanely expensive. Classes were so difficult to sign up for I could never actually get my children enrolled in any. Classes are also all during the day, none available for working parents. I also was at an extremely difficult time in my life where I was desperate for some quiet study time since I was working full time and in school full time with 2 children. I would do my homework quietly in the chapel area after my workout while my kids were in childcare downstairs. Staff HARASSED ME multiple times to where it brought me to tears to leave the door open even though many other had been in there before with the door closed to pray. I can’t put into words how desperate I was for just 15 mins of quiet time.

Loving the swim set up at Gordon Family YMCA. The wade in pool is awesome for littles and the lazy river is so fun. Teachers for swim lessons seem far better equipped to teach littles as well and seem more invested than other nearby YMCA facilities. We drive to sumner from another town to come here for swim.

Great facility with a lot of amenities and equipment. Overcrowding is becoming a big issue and with thousands more apartments going in right next door you can only anticipate that getting worse unfortunately. Go at 5am or between 12-2pm and you are ok, other than that you will likely have to wait for people doom scrolling there phones while they sit on equipment for 20mins, the obvious crowds of teenagers are unfortunately the culprit here if we are all being honest about it. I think they would benefit by adjusting there hours as well, a lot of people nowadays have to work early, opening at 4 would be nice, and staying open later on sundays would be nice as well! Decent place, but for as new as it is it seems like it already is due for expansion!

highly recommend going to the gym because it has had a very positive impact on my overall well-being. It has helped me improve my physical health, increase my energy levels, strengthen my body, and reduce stress. Regular exercise has also improved my focus, mood, and daily discipline. The gym not only helps build physical strength, but also supports emotional balance and self-confidence. Maintaining a consistent workout routine has taught me commitment, self-care, and the importance of healthy habits. For these reasons, I believe the gym is an excellent option for anyone who wants to improve their quality of life, health, and overall well-being, regardless of age or fitness level. ⸻ If you want it shorter, more formal, or adapted for school or work, I can refine it instantly 💪✨

There’s so much to love at the Gordon YMCA , I could list a hundred things and not cover all the activities, free classes and social events that they offer, and they do so well. The confidence that my girls have acquired since attending here has been nothing but amazing! Special shout out to Amber, whom we were lucky enough to have as our ambassador to the Y. Because of her, we felt truly welcomed and had a sense of belonging right away. She continues to make us feel this way 3 years later… thank you Amber 🙏🏻🥰! Alas, no place is 100% perfect and the only issue we’ve ever had is with the swimming pool. Kids under the age of 12 must pass a swim test or be accompanied by an adult to have access to most of the pool, and rightly so… the kids who have passed need to get a color coded bracelet that allows them in. However… there have been one too many times when there is no one available to get these bracelets for the kids and we’ve spent 20 minutes of our 30 minutes of swim time just waiting for them. This Y exceeds every standard I can think of… except for this. Even with that being said, if you’re looking for a gym in the Sumner/Bonney Lake area that’s family oriented, has a great staff, is clean and reasonably affordable I encourage you to check them out, and ask for Amber 😉!
