Powered by GoogleMy son did a week of summer session camp last summer. I was pretty disappointed that they advertised as patting/feeding animals and a farm experience. That didn't happen. The animals came out 1 day out of the 5 he was there. It wasn't cheap and we didn't get what we paid for. Unfortunately I would not recommend their summer sessions
There was a 25 minute wait to get into the farm for their Easter egg hunt. The event itself was meh. The event staff kept tossing the eggs right in front of the eyes of the kids who then picked them up 🤷♂️. The lines were long, the music was insipid, and the food was basic. The staff were pleasant but willfully ignorant.
My 6 year old just finished a day of pony camp and she loved every minute. She sometimes feels shy or nervous to try something new, but Farmer Jen put her right at ease. She loved getting to spend time caring for lots of different animals. When we asked if she’d like to go back, she said she never wanted to leave!
Celebrating our son's eighth birthday with Good Pickin' Farm was incredible. From the moment we arrived we were struck by the cleanliness of the farm and the warmth of the two knowledgeable farmers—Farmer Amanda and Farmer Sandra—who guided us throughout our visit. From a hay ride to pony rides, to getting up close and learning about a variety of animals, including goats, bunnies, chickens, sheep, and alpacas, each animal appeared content, well-cared for, and was incredibly friendly with our enthusiastic bunch of kiddos. The farmers' expertise and passion for their work shone through, making it easy for us to learn about and interact with the animals in a safe and respectful manner. Knowing that this farm makes it a priority to give back to the community adds another layer of appreciation. In a world where screens often take center stage, Good Pickin' Farm provides a hands-on experience that is the perfect balance of fun, education, and animal snuggling that will leave people of all ages grinning from ear to ear.
