Girlstart is a women-led nonprofit (founded 1997) offering week-long summer STEM camps for girls entering grades 4-8, held at its STEM Center at 1400 W. Anderson Lane in Austin. Separate 4th-5th and 6th-8th grade camps run simultaneously in different spaces, combining hands-on and formal STEM curriculum aimed at building confidence and interest in STEM careers. Named Austin Chronicle's Top Youth STEM Program in 2024 and 2025.
