We used to live in Oregon and have always loved Lisa’s art classes! We’ve since moved to Austin Texas and come back every summer for a week because my kids say it’s the highlight of their summer. From the themes to the fun, elaborate art projects, to the songs and games they come home singing & playing, and of course the friends they’ve met along the way. I have multiple GAC art projects displayed throughout my house because they really are that fun and creative! Portland is incredibly lucky to have such a gem of a studio in their backyard!

My children have been attending Gilchrist Art Camp for several years (spring break, summer break, comprehensive distance learning…) and absolutely love it there! They bring home the cutest projects (made of higher quality mediums than what we have at home or school). They still keep their projects because of the fond memories and they’re really cute artwork. On top of it all, the staff (and owner, Lisa) are incredibly kind, welcoming and the kids all love them. A very well-run, organized program filled with fun and learning.
