We mainly did this so that our 3 year old daughter could play since our previous team did not accomodate that age group. This has been a terrible experience! First, we registered both girls and everything seemed fine, then 2 weeks before they were supposed to start we get an email that my oldest daughter would not be able to play unless they had more parents sign up to coach. My husband agreed to sign up which was a HUGE mistake! He has never coached before (my oldest is only 6) and though they knew this, they provided basically NO guidance, not to mention this place is BEYOND disorganized! Just go to their website to get an idea, everything is out of date and there's no clear communication. This is the theme for everything else to come. Practices have been nonexistent due to flooded fields, when my husband asks for back up fields or alternative options he was literally told "practice fields aren't closed"! This is after getting multiple emails saying they were! Then I try to buy the "recommended" jersey for my youngest and the only size they have available for my 3 year old is a youth small which is big on my 6 year old! To top it all off I pay for team photos for both kids and they don't even do them for my youngest, I find this out as I am outside with my 3 year old waiting for team photos. I am a very resonable person, each of these things I would normally blow off, but there is no communication for any issue that comes up. I find out during or even after, and these are just a few of the issues we have encountered. I have NEVER written a bad review before, but I have called and left voicemails to discuss my concerns and I am not surprised to say no one has gotten back to me. We will stick it out due to my husband being the coach and not wanting to abandon the other players but this will definitely be our last year at GSA. **This is not a reflection of the coaches, they are parent volunteers and I appreciate what they do 💗**
★★★g62267GSA used to be a great organization. Lately, the experience has been not so good to say the least. They have teaser rates (basic rates) for recreational soccer, and then tag on an additional 62% in additional fees. The fields are poorly maintained with bare patches and uneven fields, and get worse when it rains. The situation is similar when it comes to their select soccer affiliate (GNA) which focuses more on generating income rather than maintaining high quality of coaches and players. Anyone who shows up for team selection workouts is pretty much assured of making some team, regardless of how good or bad they are. They used to have a more affordable parent-coached team option, which would attract the very best players, but decided to discontinue that for obvious reasons.
