★★★★★Breana StilloWe have been with Fulshear Youth Soccer (FYS) since its very first season, and we’ve had an amazing experience. We previously played in another local recreational league, but the attentiveness and organization FYS provides are far superior. Having dedicated practice fields is a massive benefit, especially since field space can be so limited and competitive to secure in the surrounding neighborhoods. Our son currently plays in the U10 division, and he has learned a tremendous amount of footwork, teamwork, and tactical skills from his youth coach. FYS utilizes youth coaches who have actually played, truly love, and understand the game—which, in my opinion, the players strongly prefer. The league owners are actively present at all practices and games, making them incredibly accessible. For instance, when I had a question about which specific age group my son should be playing in, the owner took the time to personally listen, address my concerns, and help us make the right decision. They are always willing to go above and beyond for families. I highly recommend this recreational league for those who love the game and aren't ready or wanting to transition to a Club program.
★★★★★DCMy son has played here for three seasons and has had a blast. If you’re looking for a league where the competition is intense, coaches yell at the kids, and your child is expected to become the next Messi or Ronaldo, this is not that kind of league. The coaches are young, mostly high school to college age, but they are mature and solid soccer players. They keep the kids engaged and run good drills. Realistically, one hour per week of practice with 10–12 kids is not enough to produce a Messi anyway. What I like most about this league is the mix of skill levels. Some kids play very well, others are still learning, but everyone tends to get an opportunity to play and contribute to the team. I haven’t seen situations where certain players never get a chance to play, unlike some of the comments mentioned here.

Players receive quality uniforms, a solid number of games, and even playoffs at a much more affordable cost compared to club soccer. It’s a great way to introduce young kids to the sport.
