Fremont High Robotics is a student-led club at Fremont High School in Sunnyvale, started in 2010 and competing since 2011 as FIRST Robotics Competition Team 3501, the Firebots. It now runs several FIRST Tech Challenge teams of about twelve students each alongside a 39-member FRC team, and mentors local FIRST LEGO League teams. Students, not mentors, design, build and test the robots, and the club emphasizes community outreach, teamwork and gracious professionalism. It is a school-year competition club; the site publishes no summer camp for outside students.
