Foundations for the Future School

★★Bropocalypse

FFTF used to be a renowned daycare and preschool. However, it no longer stands out as a premium option. Chronic understaffing and frequent turnover means class sizes can be very large (in excess of daycare accreditation guidelines) and supervision lacking. Or, children are shuffled from class to class and teacher to teacher to manage class sizes. It can be hard for young children to be frequently placed in different environments and with older or younger age groups unexpectedly. While the primary teachers have mostly been quite good, they leave for other opportunities as soon as the children get comfortable with them. My general sense is that the corporation who owns FFTF (Cadence) is so focused on the bottom line they have greatly diminished the value proposition. I want the school to be successful and profitable and believe there’s room for BOTH profit and operational excellence - Cadence just doesn’t seem to be able to accomplish this balance.

We are so grateful for this school and the community that comes along with it! My child started at Foundations in August of 2025, so we were there right as leadership was changing and through what other reviews have referenced as a season of noticeable transition/the growing pains that go along with it. While we never experienced the former leadership, I have nothing but good things to say about the current admin and how hard they’ve worked to create a welcoming, nurturing environment for the kids. Ms. Nicole has always been willing to listen and address my concerns, and I truly feel heard any time I bring a question or concern to the table. She keeps an open door policy, as do the teachers. We went through a period of time where it felt like a revolving door of afternoon teachers in my child’s class, but I spoke directly to Nicole about my concerns and she addressed them head-on. Since the beginning of the year, it really feels like the admin has found their groove with hiring and the staffing challenges are under control. I’m willing to give grace for the period of transition as I know establishing a solid team of teachers can’t happen overnight, and we adore the teachers we have now! Ms. Lina and Ms. Alia are wonderful with the kids, and I love the daily photo updates of all the fun classroom activities. Chef Kristen knows all of the kids by name, and my child looks forward to going to Kristen’s Kitchen for extracurricular cooking time each week. Foundations has been a great fit for us and we look forward to continuing here!

Foundation for the Future School has been the best decision we made for our son to attend there! My son looks forward every day going to SCHOOL not just a day care facility. The teachers are interactive with the kids and parents. There are so many fun events each month for the kids to participate in from: science and art days, scholastic book fair, recess time, learning time, popsicles on the porch, and of course all the fun classroom parties for holidays. Right when you walk in you can feel the warmth and energy that the school director Ms Nicole and her direct staff brings. Thank you for all you do!

I cannot recommend this school after Cadence purchased it and put profit over children. Our first son had a mostly good experience here until the end when his safety was threatened and the state got involved with the GA PREK class. We pulled our second out after most of the staff turned over and couldn't provide the low class ratios we expected. They are also deleting reviews and have removed a compelling and trustworthy review from their Facebook page (they completely shut down reviews after this one received 30 shares). I cannot share a link in reviews, but if you search Racayra Wright Hernandez and Foundations you should be able to find it. Do your children a favor and find somewhere else.

We have been at foundations since Dec 2020, and I have to say these past 4 months have been the best in our time here. We have seen foundations through being sold to a corporation, multiple admin changes, and questionable hiring practices in 2023. The current administration is doing such a great job. The communication has never been better, the events and special touches remind me of when we first started. The parent engagement seminars are a great resource. The director greets parents daily even if she is in her office. You can tell she really cares and will make the time to discuss issues or concerns. In the past, I have voiced my opinions about the ratio of teachers to children and while they were within the state guidelines, it just seemed chaotic. The previous administration gave excuses, while I feel the current administration has acted. Over the last few months the ratio is very good with only 10-15 kids in my child’s current class. The facilities are top notch, the teachers are great, and the administrators are doing a fantastic job with communication.
