Powered by GoogleThe Academy is truly run by some of the best trained instructors in the country and their reputation is well known throughout the ballet world. What is really impressive is Fort Wayne Ballet's professional company which is a tremendous boost to the arts scene here in Fort Wayne. We are so lucky to have them as one of our city's crow jewels!
This is the best ballet school in the Fort Wayne area. My daughters started ballet at age 3 and have since been to several ballet schools in different states. Fort Wayne Ballet is high in comparison to other large metro-city ballet companies we have had the privilege of attending. This academy is under the direction of Mrs. Karen Gibbons-Brown who is constantly seeking professionalism, respectfulness and anti-bullying atmosphere for her students. She is the perfect combination of kind and serious when addressing her students. We have been attending for a year and half now and I waited to review this company because I wanted to be acurate. I would highly recommend this institution if you have a child that loves ballet. The Fort Wayne Ballet will foster your child in a way that will grow their confidence and teach them safe and healthy ballet habits! 5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
The Fort Wayne Ballet has been a positive part of my children's development. They have all learned discipline, grace, and responsibility while also learning the skills of dance. The instruction is world-class with teachers who care enough to challenge them. Although my daughters have stopped dancing, they grew from every performance and took away an appreciation for dance as an art form. My son continues to dance at Fort Wayne Ballet as a young adult and he has dreams of becoming a professional dancer. The training he has had at this wonderful dance academy is preparing him not just for a dance career but for success in life.
The Fort Wayne Ballet is truly the place to go if your child is interested in becoming a professional dancer. But not only that, they have some of the best performances I have ever seen. They are always well done and enjoyed by the whole family. I love how they make it so easy for the community to get to know them and what they do. Some of my favorite shows have been the ones that they do outside for the community to enjoy. My 5 year old son really enjoys their kids shows. They keep them bright an fun and just the right length for shorter attention spans.
I could not be happier with my daughter's experience at FWB. I am one of those parents that believes participation trophies are a waste. I want my daughters to be challenged and frustrated, because I believe that causes growth, both as dancers and as people. I love that the kids are not "automatically" in the Nutcracker, but that they have to try out. The teachers are warm and yet disiplined. The facilities are top notch along with the instruction. Highly recommended!
