FOCUS Study Center
Fellowship of Christians in Universities and Schools
The FOCUS Study Center is a 30-acre overnight program campus on Martha's Vineyard run by the Fellowship of Christians in Universities and Schools, a non-denominational Christian ministry serving students finishing grades 6 to 12. Week-long programs mix beach and lakefront recreation - volleyball, tennis, basketball, kayaks, paddleboards and bikes - with morning and evening meetings that include a game, music, a leader's personal story and teaching on the Christian faith. Sessions run from late May through August at a stated ratio of at least one leader for every three students, with students housed in two dormitories and cell phones not permitted at middle and upper school programs. The campus is nut-free and substance-free, a registered nurse visits daily, and program scholarships and a four-month payment plan are offered.
