am a former parent from First State Gymnastics, and I hope these negative reviews finally force the owners to take a serious look at what is happening inside their gym. Frankly, I am surprised they have not already faced a discrimination lawsuit. The behavior that has been allowed and overlooked by the owners is unacceptable. My child was treated unfairly and repeatedly belittled by coaches during training. Instead of addressing these issues, the gym continued to ignore the behavior and allowed it to continue. No child should have to train in an environment where they feel disrespected, targeted, or emotionally put down. If you look at the recent reviews, you will notice many positive ones suddenly appearing back-to-back. It is hard not to question whether this is an attempt to bury the truth about what families have actually experienced at this gym. I strongly recommend that parents think carefully before sending their children here. Every child deserves a supportive, respectful environment where they can grow and feel valued. If you truly love and support your child, I would seriously consider looking for another gym.

Our daughter has been at First State Gymnastics for about six months now, and we could not be happier with our decision to move her here. The coaches Brooke, Kayla, Paige, and the entire team have been incredible. They are supportive, knowledgeable, and truly invested in helping each athlete grow. My daughter has been training at First State Gymnastics (FSG) for 10 years, starting in the parent-tot classes and progressing all the way to a high competitive level. Our entire experience at FSG has been truly amazing. Four years ago, she was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). Not only did the coaches and staff take time out of their busy schedules to educate themselves about her condition, but they also went above and beyond to help monitor her during homeschool sessions. Coach Paige personally took on the responsibility of overseeing her care. Thanks to the outstanding leadership at FSG and Coach Paige’s hands-on support with managing her diabetes, my daughter has been able to continue advancing and reach the level she is at today. We are incredibly grateful for the care, dedication, and support everyone at FSG has shown.

My daughter has been an athlete under Coach Paige for less than a year and I can’t say enough positive things about Coach Paige and FSG. Paige is full of passion and love and everyone can feel it and see it. She wants the girls to learn everything gymnastics and wants to see them be the best version of their dream. She shows up 100% every single practice. My daughter absolutely loves Paige and all other coaches. We drive an hour each way three times a week and wouldn’t change it. These coaches put in the work every single day. My daughter has made so much progress. We love FSG!

We LOVE First State! We have been members of the gym since 2014. We brought 4 daughters through the recreational classes and competitive team (Acro & Artistic), in both locations. What I will say is gymnastics is a very individual sport, and the coaches are great in understanding every child’s potential and strength, at every age and stage. I 100% recommend FSG.
