The Environmental Discovery Center is the nature and education center at Indian Springs Metropark, 5175 Indian Trail in White Lake, run by the Huron-Clinton Metroparks. It sits within a 2,500-acre park and 60 acres of restored native prairie, and the award-winning building holds classrooms, a science lab, a 150-person event room and interactive exhibits on the park's prairie, wetland and woodland ecosystems, including an underwater pond viewing room. The center is open daily 9am-5pm and hosts school, scout, homeschool and public programs; the Metroparks run summer camps alongside field trips and educational programs, covering wildlife, natural science, ecology, climate, farm life and regional history.
