★★★★★Jacquelyn MarieMy son was one of the instructors there in Summer of 2022 and from my observations and feedback from the campers it was very well run. My son taught 3d Modeling, Computer languages like Java, web design and many other courses that rotate. He was doing an internship as a student from junior Ivy League college. I suppose the classes are only as good as the instructor you get. As a parent who lives nearby the campus I was bring my son meals a few times a week only because he had food allergies. I spoke to many of the young campers and saw the facility. I would inquire about instructors experience etc before committing because obviously it can change year to year. Many students form my son's college are applyimg as interns for summer of 2024 but they could end up at one of their locations. My son is graduating this May so unfortunately he likely won't be teaching again but he really enjoyed working with the young students.
★★Jordan StobaughWhile the camp director was approachable and helpful, the overall structure of the camp was a disappointment. We found that for 3 of the 4 sessions my daughter was signed up for, there was no curriculum available or the curriculum was ignored. From what I was told by my daughter, most of the time was spent playing games on personal devices. I worked with my daughter in the evenings to come up with things to try to make use of the time. Frequently she would text me during the day asking for what to do next as the camp counselors were not providing any structure. It seemed that in all but one course, the instructors barely knew the subject matter. Sadly, we will not be back in 2023. Hopefully this was a one-time event due to persistent labor shortages.
