I do not recommend this place to any dancer. My child previously had a very enjoyable ballet class somewhere else during the summer, but because that location was too far from Buford, we had to find a studio closer to home. We found this place to continue ballet—but after taking only a few classes, my child started to feel very bored and not engaged. She had been really into ballet and eager to learn more, but this studio made her lose interest and even dread going to class. It was so sad to see. After a few months of trying, I couldn’t ignore how unhappy she was. I left messages on the owner’s phone about the situation and asked how to withdraw from the class. She didn’t reply for two weeks. I then emailed her, and she claimed she hadn’t seen my messages—yet still never addressed my concerns. How rude and uncaring! Is this really how you treat your dancers and customers? You didn’t even ask a single question like, “Is everything okay?” or “What’s wrong?” I was ignored twice. If the owner truly cared about their dancers, she would ask what happened, why the student felt this way, or how she could improve the situation. Instead, she ignored us completely and continued debiting money from my account. The classes were also overcrowded, with 20–25 students packed in a single room, and I don’t think students had enough opportunity to learn properly with only one teacher. My child didn’t seem to learn any new skills—they were mostly practicing on their own. There were even days when teacher was absent and no makeup classes were offered. On top of that, they charge extra fees beyond tuition, and of course there are no refunds even if your child doesn’t participate in events or quits—because you’re required to pay those fees six months in advance. Overall, I feel it was a complete waste of time and money for my child. She would have made much more progress if she had continued at her previous dance academy, and I truly regret choosing this place. The whole experience has left me feeling bitter! This is my daughter’s first year of dance and she loves her class and teachers! Everyone is very nice and helpful. I love that you can watch the class on the tv in the lobby or through the viewing window. This way I don’t feel like I’m missing out on what she is learning. She has already picked up so much and looks forward to going each week. We started with summer camps this past summer and she loved it so much we stuck around! I can’t wait to watch her skills grow with great leadership.

Last year was my daughters first year joining dance ( she was 3) it was also the first time ever being away from me. A lot of adjusting the staff is patient and works great with the children. My daughter had a hard time listening and following direction but with the patience’s of Ms. Bethany my daughter grew and learned so much with dance and self confidence. This is our second year she couldn’t wait to get back in the studio. I would recommend Elite dance academy to any family.

We are new to Elite Dance Academy this year, and are loving it! I have two girls that dance, and both look forward to their classes each week. My youngest is new to tap, and I am amazed at how much she has already learned! She is constantly tapping and even knows the names of the steps she is doing thanks to her awesome teacher! The school is also great with communication. We receive reminders when things are coming up or changing from our typical routine. This is super helpful for busy families!

The choreography, music choices, and recital performances are always so well done and creative. I’ve seen my daughter’s technique, coordination, and love for dance grow tremendously since joining Elite. It’s such a positive community—we feel like part of a family here.
