My son and I have the same situation as the review right before mine. Terrible experience. I was told by the basketball mom that checked all the players in at tryouts that we would hear back from the coaches by Sunday (3 days after tryouts) if they made the team. If I didn’t hear anything by Monday, I could email the coaches for feedback. I reached out on Monday via email and got no response. I then called on Wednesday and left a voicemail, no response. I called again on Thursday, left another voicemail, no response. If my son didn’t make the team at least have enough professionalism to come out and say that instead of dodging my calls and emails. Based off of the number of players allowed per team and how many players tryout, including the returners, there’s not many spots left for newcomers to have a fair shot so tryouts are already decided coming into it.

One of the worst experiences we’ve had with a youth sports program. Before the tryout, I didn’t receive any email about what to expect, and several other parents mentioned the same issue. I reached out to the owner via text and he said they would send an email the morning before the tryouts, but that never happened. After the tryouts, we were told that an email would be sent letting parents know whether their child was accepted or not. Unfortunately, there has been no communication at all. I tried texting and calling the owner to let him know I never received anything, but I got no response. At the very least, parents should be informed so kids are not left waiting and wondering about the results. Right now it feels like there is very poor communication, and it’s unclear if decisions were already made before the tryouts. Overall, a very disappointing experience.
