Coach Jamal has a rare gift for seeing the potential in each kid and drawing it out with feedback that's honest, specific, and delivered with genuine care. He strikes exactly the right balance: building character while also cultivating real competitors. What I appreciate most is that Coach Jamal is fair and grounded. He creates opportunities for every player to develop and grow — not just the stars — and he does it because he's invested in building something that lasts. This isn't a program looking for shortcuts. Coach Jamal is building a culture, and you can feel it in how the kids carry themselves on and off the court. Coach Marcus has been equally impactful, and together they've created an environment where kids are pushed to be their best while feeling supported every step of the way. And the facility? Don't let the outside fool you. Once you walk through those doors, you'll find everything a serious basketball player needs to develop: two full courts to run real game situations, a shot doctor to sharpen shooting mechanics, and a weightlifting and conditioning area to build the athleticism to compete. Peter has grown tremendously — not just in his game, but in his confidence, his coachability, and his character. That's the mark of truly great coaching.
