My review is of gym facilities only. I'm sure there is a lot of value here through the community they offer, especially for families. If you want to just use the gym and locker room, this is not a good place to go. The locker room was filthy, one of the worst gym locker rooms I've seen. The gym floor was full of people, mostly high school kids. There wasn't any machines available and there was a queue for just about everything. The treadmills were open, if that is your thing I prefer to run outdoors. I asked the door guy if this is normal busy or unusual, he said this is light for this time of day.

If you plan on using the pool, hopefully you're unemployed. Starting at 3pm every day except Sundays, this pool only has 3 out of a potential 12 lanes open to the public to swim. 3 lanes, for the entire city of Dublin. And this is a year round issue. It's ridiculous trying to share a lane with 4 people, all doing different workouts at different paces. I complained about the layout to the pool manager and she agreed to add another lane line and 4 days later, nothing has changed. The staff doesn't listen to their tax payers, they only care about swim team. If you're looking for an indoor pool, save yourself time and money and look at Hilliard or UA, both with new facilities.

It’s fine, it’s just a gym though. It doesn’t open until 5:30am on weekdays and it is always packed shortly thereafter. Wish it opened earlier to avoid the crowds. Also, the pool schedule doesn’t really appear to be accurate. Half the time there’s a “masters” team swimming when it first opens so they take lanes from people coming to swim individually. If there was an option to only purchase a pool pass it would be better, then I would just go to a 24 hour gym for strength instead of here. Wish I liked it more because it’s nearby but there’s just too many people there all the time.

Dublin community recreational center extremely good for the price you pay. Machines, quality staff, decent Wi-Fi and a nice pool. Make it a great value.

I went to an aqua zumna class today taught by a new instructor. I do not appreciate how my tax dollars were used for her to turn the class into a religious experience. Nothing in the class description from the app could prepared me for what I encountered next. The first song was a religious Christmas carol, and at the halfway point she played Hava Nagila and shouted "Praise Jesus for the Jews". There was also a gospel style song with a chorus of "going to the river to pray". The second to last song was a hip hop song rapping about how our saviour was born in a barn. Carrie repeatedly called out "go Jesus, it's your birthday" for the entire song. The final song referenced angels in heaven, and she ended the class by saying "you all are my angels from heaven". My spiritual beliefs have never presented an issue here before, and I really don't appreciate it being a problem now. Many people who use the rec center come from a variety of backgrounds and it is grossly unfair to use your classes as a platform for religious expression at the expense of the rest of our experiences.
