Dancing Grounds is a New Orleans nonprofit dance organization whose DG Summer Camp offers rising 3rd-8th graders full days (9 a.m.-4 p.m., about six hours of dance) in ballet, modern, hip-hop, African, and improvisation across a four-week session. Younger dancers ages 3-6 can join June creative-movement programs. Tuition includes a shirt, water bottle, and daily healthy snacks and lunch.

Google Reviews
Powered by GoogleI've always felt welcomed in the space. I believe the teachers make efforts to provide safety and comfort to all who participate. The physical space itself is always in great condition which makes my experience even better. It's always clean, smells great, and the aesthetics are beautiful. I also deeply align with the mission and ethos of Dancing Grounds, so naturally I feel at home. And lastly, but not least, the quality of the classes are undeniable. I am always being challenged and pushed while being given space to decide for myself what my limits are. I'll always support Dancing Grounds.
The class was fun and informative without any pressure as someone who doesn't have a lot of experience with dance. I came to have fun and move my body and I did just that!
8/10 It was lovely, chanice energy flames. Was super sharing and caring . If it was a Google review score if give 10/10 for the algorithm It's 8/10 personal because it's never gonna be for everyone. I am a nerd id love to know what exactly afrogrooves is about, what about the culture would be sacred or history, and expanding understanding of how moves fit my body. but the personal expression message of dancing grounds in this class may be more important than that It feels like a "workout class" and we go through a choreo, so it's like a casual-fun-experimental-discover your special sauce vibe. I would definitely come back myself and the way DG is celebrating of legacy and grassroots seems quite legit. Please be around next time I visit ♥️
The staff and other students are always welcoming and polite. No matter what kind of day I have, Im always guaranteed a good sweat and laughs. Consistently a safe space for me over the last seven years and very beginner friendly while still challenging the more advanced dancers. I wish they had one in every city!
I found this location using my MINDBODY app. There were several other choices available to me. I’m a transient visitor here for a month so I needed to keep my yoga flow. I read the reviews I looked at the different offerings. I was so tempted by the salsa class :-) But what I really needed was yoga on a regular being away from home for so long. The establishment itself is very clean very peaceful. The classroom itself was big in size. The instructor was wonderful, very precise, helpful and available for modifications. I will be signing up for a temporary monthly pass. Give them a try. You won’t be disappointed.
