Dody Flynn comes across as extremely controlling. I attended a practice recital for my 4 year old daughter because I cannot make the scheduled performance due to work. When I arrived, I explained my situation and several people, including some with name tags, said it would probably be fine for me to watch. I was allowed to sit and watch toddlers for about 30 minutes before being asked to leave. At that point, Dody told me I needed “pre clearance” to remain. While this may have been communicated before, it made little sense to allow me to watch toddlers but then require pre clearance for my 4 year old, especially after I explained my situation. Before the practice, she also warned that nothing could be recorded, that there were spotters in the crowd, and that anyone caught would have a flashlight shined in their face and be escorted out. I understand studios have policies, but given the kids are 4 to 5 years old and dressed as farm animals, the tone and enforcement felt excessive.

Dance Dimensions has been like a second home to my daughter for the past 13 years. There are classes for all levels and styles of dance. Miss Dody and her staff are caring and supportive. Dance Dimensions has been our dance home for many years. Miss Dody and her staff offer classes for all levels and styles of dance, and they care about each and every one of their dancers.
