They don't have a sauna or steam room. Occasionally the hot tub is down. Otherwise I'm glad to go and it's close.

I'm disappointed to see that YMCA requires two week's notice for membership cancellations or pauses to take effect. Industry standard is that when you request to cancel a subscription, the cancellation takes place immediately. Frankly, this comes across as self-serving and greedy, and does not serve the members of your community. I finally decided to cancel after two years because the availability and quality of the aerobic & strength training group fitness classes is quite lacking for adults who work 9-5 pm. I signed up for this gym because I love BodyPump classes but no BodyPump classes are available before 9 am and the regularly scheduled Boot Camp 6:15 am classes did not follow best teaching practices (very fast instructor demos, no time to correct form, etc). The gym schedule caters more towards retired folks than those with standard working hours. The one thing that kept me subscribed to the membership for as long as I did was Jen's 6:15 am cycling class - she's an amazing instructor, brings such positive energy, and its a great workout every time.

The front desk folks were not terribly friendly when I visited but the rest of my experience there was great. It can get crowded at the machines but there are a lot of them available. Their taiji classes were very helpful & I saw another promising class that looked like the instructor & students were having fun!

I’ve been a member here for about 5 months. I can’t say I’m impressed. Whoever is in charge here does not know how to adequately staff. The most affected area seems to be the pool. Were they regularly cancel swim sessions without notice and one time even yelled for us to get out of the water Over a half an hour before the swim session was supposed to end because they did not staff appropriately again. To add to my frustration when I went in to take a shower, there was no showerhead in one of the Family bathrooms. No signage was on the door, which was even more frustrating. The main reason why I signed up here was to take my kids swimming. I’m leaving again and pissed off because the managers of this YMCA can’t figure it out. I will be looking into other options over the holiday weekend. These are simple things and it just worries me that An organization as big as this one Is run so poorly. I don’t understand why they can’t just cross train employees to avoid situations like this. There was three people sitting at the front desk, twiddling their thumbs when I left. Not a good look YMCA.

The YMCA is a great place to work out. They have free weights and dumbbells that go up to 120lbs. They also have an Olympic size pool, basketball courts, and rock climbing. The cardio machines are not crowded and the place is big.
