Crimson Sailing Academy runs summer sailing camp for kids ages 11–17 on the Charles River at 45 Memorial Drive, teaching in responsive two-person Collegiate FJs and 420s. Sessions are capped at 24 sailors so instruction can be tailored to each camper, and current and former college sailors assist the coach as instructors and role models. The academy rents the Harvard University sailing facilities but is an independent business, neither sponsored nor controlled by Harvard.

My son had a great time. The highlight was the last afternoon of the program when the kids sailed with their family. My son definitely wanted to do it again! Parking was a bit problematic. Bette to drop kids earlier or reserve ample time to find a parking spot in the neighborhood. Wish they offer year-long programs, say during weekends.
