Crested Butte Mountain Theatre is a grassroots community theatre whose YouTheatre Camp is a performing and visual arts workshop for ages 8 to 14, introducing campers to theatre basics through skits, music and improv games plus makeup, masks, and sound and lights. Campers learn both onstage and backstage work, how a play is rehearsed and performed, and how to prepare for a role. The theatre also runs a K-8 drop-in week and weekly grade-banded programs - Greatest Showman for grades 5-8 and Teens on Stage for grades 9-12 - across the summer.
