Creative Dance Center is a Seattle nonprofit studio in the Haller Lake area running weekly summer camps for ages 4-13 that combine dance, music and creative arts. Camps run June 29 through August 21 in full-day and half-day formats, with themes spanning ballet stories, hip hop, musical theater, jazz and modern, environmental dance, and creative music. The center teaches the BrainDance and Creative Dance methodology developed in-house and also trains teachers in it. An early-bird rate applies to registrations by March 8, and financial aid and payment plans are available on application.

My kids love the shows every Mother's Day weekend, which has become a family tradition. Unlike other dance studios, the emphasis here is on how brain and body are connected, expressing yourself through movement, and working creatively with other people of different ages and ability levels. This place is outstanding and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
