Cooper River Yacht Club runs a summer youth sailing camp on the Cooper River at 450 S Park Drive in Collingswood, inside Cooper River Park. Beginner daytime classes are taught by experienced sailing instructors and are open to children aged 8-18, with no boat ownership required, and lessons are offered to members and non-members alike. More competitive sailors can join the CRYC Junior Race Team, for youth aged 9-18, which competes in local and regional regattas through the spring and summer season.

We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact Cooper River Yacht Club directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

This was actually just Cooper River park on South Park drive. It was wonderful! Everyone was out and about enjoying the beautiful weather. The sunset was stunning - love it here!
The river is very narrow and crowded. The river also has severe issues with sewage run off. Places like Union Lake are much larger areas and cleaner to enjoy the water and sailing.
My son just went through the beginner sailing class. He had a great time, and he said all the instructors were super nice and patient. Thanks Grayson, Henry and Damian!
Picturesque South Jersey sailing venue right outside Philadelphia. Cooper River Yacht Club offers adult and kid's classes. It has recreational and competitive racing. And, you don't need a boat to enjoy the sailing because the club has boats for your use. It’s a great experience.
