The Conejo Valley YMCA (Southeast Ventura County YMCA) in Thousand Oaks runs a traditional Base Camp day camp for children entering transitional kindergarten through 5th grade, set on 35 acres with a climbing wall, archery range, and low ropes course. Each week includes an on-site vendor experience plus a field-trip day busing campers to the Yarrow Family YMCA for pool time, a picnic, and park play; a daily round-trip shuttle runs from the Yarrow Y. Campers bring a packed lunch, snacks, and swimsuit.

★★★★DICK HERTZI use to love this place because it was 5 minutes from my house, has a pool, all the weight room I need and hiking trails but now they are closed ever since covid. It doesn't make sense why they never reopened. I continued to pay my dues for 2 years under the assumption they would reopen because the kept saying they would. Finally I had to start going to the Y in Westlake because they won't open. I feel duped.
