I took ballet and jazz classes at Concert Dance Conservatory for about 3 years. I learned more there in that time than I did in my 13 previous years of training. The training is detailed and personal. The environment allows for the teachers to get to know the dancers and care about not only their skill but also their well being. The confidence that the teachers had in me is the only reason that I kept dancing after reaching a point where I felt burnt out. The teachers also have a strong belief in technical range which helps the students to develop their own style and love for dance.

There will always be a special place in my heart for Ms. Mindy and Ms. Deb. Not only did they provide my daughter with remarkable professional guidance and helped her realize her dance dreams, but they showered her with all their love and support and were her amazing mentors! They provide all dancers with a supportive, nurturing community. I was so impressed with their personable training and discipline that I joined their dance studio as a student. Ms. Deb taught an amazing adult class and she would personally give me extra attention so I could catch up with the rest of the class. CDC has an incredibly strong culture of camaraderie and peer support, so much so that my fellow classmates were also very encouraging, helpful, and supportive. We moved to Colorado Springs last year, and my two daughters joined CDC. They both have been dancing since they were three years old and now are a junior and senior in high school. Both of my girls have commented on how much they have learned in just one year at CDC and how their technique and stamina have improved. My oldest daughter has auditioned and been accepted into numerous college dance programs, including the University of Utah and Texas Christian University. We have been customers and are coming up on our 3rd annual recital with Concert Dance Conservatory. I could not be more pleased with CDC and have recommended the studio to several friends. We chose the studio for several reasons, but most importantly, Ms. Mindy demands consistency, attention, and progress from students, but in return, they build friendships and become dancers with infinite opportunities in front of them. I’ve been pleasantly surprised at the individual attention paid to my student; we only take 2 classes and are not in the company side of things, but I am always made aware of how my child is doing, and I really appreciate the cooperation between families and the studio. Ms. Mindy sets strict but clear expectations and the studio turns out disciplined, world class dancers.
