Cindy's Dance Factory in Colorado Springs runs four week-long summer sessions in June and July made up of hour-long classes stacked from 11:00am to 8:00pm, covering tots ballet and tap, acrobatics, jazz, hip hop, clogging, lyrical, musical theater, choreography and improv, and ballet and pointe. Families build their own schedule and are billed by the hour, from $80 for one hour a day across five days up to $400 for five hours a day, so this is a week-long class program rather than a supervised full-day camp. Age bands run from 2.5-5 tots classes to teen and adult classes at 13+ and 15+. Single-day 90-minute boot camps in strength and technique and in flexibility, leaps and turns are also offered, and attending all three week-long camps earns a discount.

★★★★Rena KSNot only is the dance room in great condition, it is welcoming to parents. I have never been to a dance studio where parents are welcome into the room with the girls. Cindy is a wonderful teacher. She is patient and warm with the youngest (my very shy 4 year old actually talked to her--not an easy feat!) and fun and lively for the slightly older girls (my 8 yr old thought she had very fun teaching techniques). I was early to my daughters dance class and was able to watch her teach the teenagers. I was very impressed with her ability to command their respect but be relatable and fun. She does a wonderful job at introducing technique to the toddlers-- most 3/4 yr old dance classes are playtime. While she makes it fun, she makes sure the kids are learning something!! Her dances are well choreographed and she chooses age-appropriate music-- Disney Princess for my little one and Miley Cyrus for my 8 yr old-- they are both ecstatic. I will say that the recital is VERY long and that classes often don't start at their scheduled time--therefore running late. I had hoped that technique would be enforced a little more than it was but I'm under the impression that, as the girls grow, so does Cindys expectations.
