The Community Theatre of Howell runs a two-week summer theatre camp each year at Parker Middle School on Wright Rd, giving students hands-on experience in musical theatre, acting, dance, voice and technical production. Elementary camps are for students entering 1st through 5th grade and a separate camp serves students entering 6th through 12th grade, with campers learning singing, dancing and character work alongside team building, communication and focus. Camp scholarships are available for students ages 5-18.

Powered by GoogleMy husband found the ad for the free production of early radio programs at the community theater at the Howell school. My husband is 80 so he as a child listened to radio programs for entertainment before TV. It was really fun and the performers were great. I really recommend going. I'm not sure how many times it's done but if you happen to see it advertised, check it out. It was just simple fun.
The CTH has a LOT of great content every year! The cost is affordable and you're helping to keep a great amenity within the community. Support your local theatre by attending a couple of shows each year!
Saw a nice play. They was plenty of space between family groups and it was a ticketless experience, with masks, so all COVID restrictions followed. The ushers were nice, staff friendly, performance good. Nice place.
We went and saw James and the giant peach Jr and it was just awesome! It was all kids and they performed amazingly! My husband was leery of wanting to go to a play but they just did so well! We didn't know a single one of them but thoroughly enjoyed the performance! My daughters are 3 and 1 and were captivated the whole time! FANTASTIC JOB! 👍👍👍👍 Also, the lead boy thsty played James let my daughter have a picture with him! She's shy!
Went to performance of Beauty and the Beast because a friend was among the cast. Enjoyed it very much. Ushers very nice and helpful. Seats are comfortable, but a little narrow. Costumes were delightful. The singing and dancing were very good. The actress playing Belle was wonderful, she has a great voice. The guy playing Gaston was hilariously perfect! They performed songs I don't remember from the original show. Lots of kids in the cast added to the fun and charm of the performance. Lots of laughs too. Location a little hard to spot. There is a sign by the road, but it would have helped to know it was located in a school. I didn't remember reading that on the website. Price was reasonable. If you are tired of movies, try a live performance at the Community Theatre of Howell, it's a fun fresh change for the whole family.
