In my experience, the club faces several operational challenges that families should carefully consider, especially if their player is entering key recruiting years. One challenge is the lack of dedicated training and game facilities. Field availability can change frequently, which can create uncertainty for players and families. Coaching quality also varies significantly from team to team. While some coaches provide an excellent experience, others may not meet the same standard. I’ve also observed roster depth challenges at times, including situations where teams have played with limited numbers or relied on players from other Rush programs. One area where the club stands out is the people. In my experience, the coaches and families have generally been welcoming, supportive, and enjoyable to be around. While every youth club has some level of politics, I found the environment here to be more positive than at some competing organizations. My perception is that the club has not adapted as effectively as some of its competitors in the evolving youth soccer landscape. While the organization built a strong reputation over many years, particularly during the Development Academy era, I believe some of the younger age groups have struggled to maintain the same level of competitiveness and consistency. Within Colorado’s ECNL landscape, many families appear to prioritize other clubs first, although that can vary significantly based on player, team, coach, and age group. One potential benefit is that the club can sometimes be more flexible in accommodating talented players and their individual development needs. The club’s possession-oriented style of play has many positives and aligns with how the game is taught at high levels. However, I personally question whether the approach consistently translates to success in the highly competitive Texas ECNL Conference. There have been recent leadership changes, which could create opportunities for positive growth and improvement. Time will tell how those changes impact the club’s direction. Overall, based on my experience, I would currently recommend that families thoroughly evaluate all ECNL options in Colorado before making a decision. For players whose primary goal is collegiate soccer or higher-level opportunities, I believe other clubs may offer stronger overall environments at this time.

Our daughter started at Rush for season 23/24. We are continuing this year with Rush with forward momentum! The experiences will always differ with each season but the support and encouragement from coaching staff and directors is muchly appreciated. Of course there are always things to improve, we are extremely thankful for the continued work Rush does provide to give these young athletes opportunities to grow and learn more about themselves. We look forward to another year and another year with amazing families.

Colorado Rush is the community you want for your kids! All 4 of our kids have gone through Rush. Our youngest two are both competitive now and are having the time of their lives! We’ve done some traveling being a part of the DPL and these girls are making memories that will last a lifetime! Last year they started the young referee program so that the older kids can help referee the younger age groups. Ashleigh, Jeff, Adam, to name a few coaches, thanks for helping create confident athletes!

We have been with Rush for about a year now after leaving another large club in the area. The communication and inclusion has been stellar from Adam Logan, Director of Coaches. A night and day difference from what we experienced before. One of my sons attended just about every event with our prior club and the staff coaches he saw on a regular basis never even bothered to learn his name. Everyone at Rush knew his name within days. My other son had a former club coach that spent an entire season pronouncing his name wrong despite continuous correction. It was really hard on both boys. Now with Rush, they feel recognized and that they matter which makes a huge difference in building up their confidence and love for the sport early on. Our boys genuinely enjoy soccer and it has become a priority sport for my oldest in this last year. My husband is also a volunteer coach and his experience has been much less stressful. Our prior club made him do literally everything as a volunteer. Rush provides him with the PlayMetrics app to communicate but they handle most admin things for him. He gets to just enjoy being a volunteer without a mountain of extra work behind it.

My kids have previously played at 3 other local clubs, starting at age 5 and I'm so glad that we landed at Rush! All clubs have good and bad aspects, but Rush is a good fit for us. My daughter has been on the Girls Academy (soon to be ECNL) team for 3 years now and I could not be happier with her growth and development. The team & travel organization is the best we have ever known and the culture of the club fosters loyalty and commitment. These girls play together and for each other. The teams across age groups support and cheer for each other. My son plays on an EAL team and also enjoys it - we wish we had moved him sooner!
