CHIPS by inteRFace R&D · Private

CHIPS, the education arm of Silicon Valley engineering firm inteRFace R&D, teaches hands-on electronics to kids and teens in Sunnyvale: circuits, Arduino, IoT and AI, taught in small classes using real hardware rather than simulations. Camp offerings have included an Otto x CHIPS mini camp for ages 3-5 running four drop-off mornings in late June, in which children decorated, built and took home a Bluetooth karaoke kit alongside toddler yoga. The parent firm specializes in PCB design, embedded systems, prototyping and full-cycle product development. Full camp schedules, session lengths and the upper age limit are not published.

Excellent summer camp. The kids learned so much about wiring, programming, and electronics. They even assembled, wired, and programmed a fully functional Smart House using an ESP32 microcontroller with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities, and successfully demonstrated it. They had a wonderful time and gained real-world skills.

I highly recommend Chios Academy for your kids. Chips academy course was a wonderful, educational and fun for the kids. I am grateful for Shahaf and David for their creative ideas of what and how to teach the kids, they ability to keep the kids interested and focused and their patient. Kids learned so much, and couldn’t wait for the next class to start. Thanks so much!

My grandson 9 years old came from LA to attend this camp and he loved it. Every morning he was ready to go and when I picked him up he would share with us what he learned- computer and cellphone parts, programming and the main activity was building a smart home. Thank you very much

I took my daughter to a CHIPS class and it was such a great experience! There was a lot of hands-on activity, and my daughter really enjoyed it. Highly recommend!

Chips really teach my son about STEM and hands-on hardware experience. He is almost 10, and I’m so glad he has experiences outside of the screen.
