I was able to go in on afternoons when I was working from home to nurse her once a day before she weaned, and they were very supportive as I transitioned her to formula and purées, then to solids. We love being able to see her on the cameras and get updates on the app. Her teachers and the staff are very communicative. We’ve only ever had minor hiccups, and any concerns get addressed quickly and effectively. We are confident in sending our second child here when the time comes.

I had a few concerns that I brought up to leadership about cleanliness, consistent supervision, and gentleness. But they said that they will address it. I will have to say at first their has been multiple transitions throughout the school but I think that has come to an end :) She loves going to school everyday. As soon as you walk in either in the morning/ afternoon drop off Miss Danielle or Miss Amanda are their to greet you and they know every child by name and the parents which in my book is a plus we don't just feel like a number. The school is also very inclusive. We are a non-traditional family and our daughter fits right in. Being a first time mom at first I was sooo against putting my child in school so when we were looking for something we had certain critia and they checked off all the boxes: cameras in the class room so that I can check in on her through out the day, they provide meals/snacks, keeping us up to date through out the day with her day to day activity through their app Sprout About and the activities there is always something going on at the school. We highly recommend Childtime of Yorktown if you live in the Yorktown/Newport News area.
