Powered by GoogleMy fiancé and I had never played tennis before and we were looking for a way to meet people around us and stay fit. We just completed the adult beginner class. We were going to last fall but had to delay because our house flooded but they were flexible with us and were able to get our beginner tennis moved to the next season. Our coach Matt Butcher was awesome, we thought we might be able to hit back and forth by the end of the class but we never excepted to find something that was so much fun. We have serves that land where they should, we know how to play singles doubles even a tie break. When we played our first ever match we actually won! We have stayed in touch with our beginner class and now play matches together. We are excited to join the next level of classes every week. This has become a passion for us and is so much fun we can’t stay off the courts and now play multiple times a week when a few months ago had never played.
What a gem ! TOP tennis academy at Cherokee was extremely welcoming. We will be back! My daughter hit with their students and had a very positive experience.
I've been to this center twice with a couple buddies, and all of the staff and regulars have been nothing but supportive, kind, and encouraging to all of us even though we're basically complete beginners. I wanted to give a special shoutout to Matt, Cameron, and Wes because they've been really helpful as well. But the regulars who just attend have been really awesome to interact with. The facility itself and the courts are really nice. They sell racquets, some drinks like Gatorade and water, and have stringing services. The live ball drills have been my and my friends' favorite parts of our weeks. I definitely recommend to anyone ranging from complete beginners to seasoned veterans! If you're unsure of your ability to play, I believe they also offer 1-on-1 coaching as well to ensure you build some tennis fundamentals.
I went to watch my wife play the C-5 CTC team yesterday. The immature behavior this CTC displayed was both laughable and embarrassing. One player tried to reprimand me for asking the ladies from my team if they needed anything. This little girl tried to pick a battle about talking to players during change over. Yet, their coach asked the same thing. This little girl failed to intimidate and looked foolish trying to flex her gender musce towards me. She never apologized nor wanted to speak to me like a human being. Hope she works on her personal issues....The CTC should monitor foolish behavior and failed attempts to look tough and show authority. Again...laughable.
My daughter has been playing tennis at CTC for almost 3 years and we love it. Top notch instruction and fun for the kids. They offer a variety of affordable group lessons as well as camps in the summer. Coach Wes is magic with the kids. My husband also participates occasionally in their USTA league play and evening drills. A great workout at a great price.
