Charleston Youth Company is a Greater Charleston performing-arts company for students in grades 1–12 (roughly ages 6–17), developing talent through music, voice, dance, drama, art and technical production across its tiered companies. It also runs summer camp programming, with performers able to work onstage or behind the scenes.

CYC also helped me make some valuable connections that furthered my career in Theatre (I got a job choreographing a musical for a local high school, that I did not attend, my Freshman year of college), while also preparing me for the world of theatre outside of the warehouse. I totally recommend CYC to anyone looking for a loving and supportive theatre environment, that actually prepares you for the real world of theatre!!!
