CDC is a family who will build skills for your dancer while also pouring into them as a person! The talent at this studio is phenomenal; truly impressive!! Our oldest daughter danced at CDC from age 5 through age 12. Although dance was not her "thing" where she wanted to continue to pursue it, CDC allowed her to be there ONE night per week and take tap, jazz and ballet to allow her all the benefits of dance... taking dance builds self confidence, poise, character and so much more. Taking dance (in my opinion) has helped our oldest daughter feel more comfortable when having to speak in front of an audience, be able to take critical feedback without letting it break her down and build important posture! To the contrary, our youngest LOVES to dance!! She's danced there since she was 3 (now age 9) and likely will continue at CDC for life or until she moves! I'm so happy that CDC allows her to take classes with competition dancers and build skills at a competition level (as they do a GREAT job of placing dancers in classes based on skill vs just age!), but they are accepting that I am just not a competition mom. The option is there, but they've been supportive and not forceful for us to join team or anything like that! They support me in my desires to conserve our Wednesday nights for church activities and all of our Saturdays because honestly... maybe I'm a bit selfish and just need them to rest! I love the fact that they have some dancers at this studio who are all in to become professional dancers (and will based on the level of education and training provided by the studio) yet also cater to those of us who just want dance to be a hobby/art/skill developed and maintained on a once or twice per week basis! Love the teachers, dancers and everyone at this studio!
