FAME Performing Arts is a locally owned Mount Pleasant studio whose summer camp runs nine weeks from June through August, with families picking whichever themed weeks they want. All activities center on the creative and performing arts - singing, dancing, acting, crafts, games, and yoga and meditation - and each week ends with an age-appropriate Friday showcase at 3 p.m. Camps for ages 5-6 and 7-9 are framed as an introduction to the performing arts and to working with a cast, while the 10-13 group spends more time performing and stages its own end-of-week production.
