Cedar Rapids Parks & Recreation is the city's municipal recreation department, which runs summer day camps alongside a range of youth recreation programs registered through crrec.org. Camps are offered at city recreation centers, with specific ages and daily hours varying by program.
The practical details
We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact Cedar Rapids Parks & Recreation Department directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

Powered by GoogleBingo is posted in the parks magazine and many showed up to play the first night but there wasn't any coordinator. Should have been a sign posted if the night was canceled. Very bad communication.
Compared to north Liberty we have nothing in Cedar Rapids. In North Liberty, They have an super affordable rec center that costs $3 a pool visit and small kids are free. Cedar rapids has just basketball courts (that apparently are always booked) and its a shame! I applied for the discounted pool pass and its still over $100 every few months. The process to apply was horrific. They do not accept the documents listed on their website. they assume that separated parents are together and want to give you a hard time about it. The front desk people by 6th ave are very friendly though.
City of CR Parks and Rec took our fence that backs up to a busy park without any notice. They aren't claiming any responsibility for this mistake on their part. Now we are left to deal with dogs in our yard old small dog and young children.
Awesome
