The 32,000 square foot facility is the hub of the Mount Mercy athletic department. Built into the hillside on the northeast corner of campus in 1985 and upgraded with a new playing surface and bleachers in 2017, Hennessey Rec Center is the home of Mustang men's and women's basketball, men's and women's volleyball, and competitive cheer & dance while offering practice facilities, an athletic training room, locker rooms, and a golf simulator. In addition, the rec center includes the Mount Mercy Honors Wall, lounge area, and coaches' offices.
