Camp Tawonga is a nonprofit Jewish residential (sleepaway) summer camp founded in 1925, set on 160 acres along the Tuolumne River near Yosemite in the Stanislaus National Forest (San Francisco is its administrative office). One- to three-week sessions serve campers entering grades 2–10 with hiking, swimming, climbing, and group-centered outdoor living, and kosher-style, nut-free family meals. Affiliated with the JCC, it offers inclusive programming including all-gender cabins and an LGBTQ family weekend.
