Powered by GoogleCamp Live Oak is a hidden gem in our South Fl. Community, Ken and his staff are completely involved with the kids. Great ,safe space for your child!
My boys (9 and 11) attended summer camp at both Camp Live Oak locations this summer. They went to Fishing Camp at Dania Beach and absolutely loved it! They got to fish everyday and also participate in other activities and group games everyday. At the end of the week, they went on a charter boat! They also participated in educational days with IGFA that were very helpful. At Birch State Park, they made multiple art projects and had fishing, canoeing and archery sessions. They are both beautiful locations and the staff were awesome! I would highly recommend this camp!
Both of my kids have gone to Camp Live Oak for many years now and they love it!!! Spring, winter, and summer sessions are all amazing! They have learned and experienced so much from attending camp that most kids would ever dream about! Not only do they learn about nature and science...but they have fun doing it...snorkeling, fishing, canoeing, archery....and the list goes on and on! The camp director as well as all of the staff are great with the kids and are hands on with everything they do...its not a daycare like most other camps we have looked at...this is definitely a find and our family looks forward to camp every year!!! Oh and did I mention all the new friends my kids have made?? Friends from all over the world...its just amazing!!! I give this camp a 100% A+
My son has been going to Camp Live Oak since he was 5 and loves it. He is now turning 10 and is still interested in attending and in fact aspires to be a counselor there one day! Not only are the programs wholesome and engaging, but it's the staff that makes it so special. The camp director, Ken Evans is so personally committed to making this camp a great experience for each child. Every counselor is first aid qualified with teaching credentials, but the best part is they love kids. Every year they add new programs to keep the youngsters coming back so that they feel like they are graduating into a new level. My son participated in the the mountain biking and the bubble makers introduction to scuba last year and wants to do it again. What we love as parents is that they get to have the sleep away camp experience without leaving us alone for the summer :-)
My Children really enjoyed the camp..great professional staff (certified teachers), fun activities (fishing, canoeing, archery, science, arts & crafts)...Loved the field trips ..some of them were very unique....sign up early ... My daughter really wanted to experience the dolphin encounter but they were all booked up.., She did love the trip to the keys! They also got the chance to make international friends since some of the campers came from other countries. We are definitely looking forward to the Spanish Immersion camp program next summer as well!!!
