Camp Korp is a Southington day camp for kids from pre-K through middle school, run out of West Baseball Park by longtime PE teacher and coach Eric Korp. Days mix sports and games, fort building and woods exploration, water games, biking, drumming, Nerf battles, and a ninja-warrior obstacle course.

After hearing from people around town I decided to give Camp Korp a try, and I’m so glad I did! I signed my 4 year old up for 2 weeks of 1/2 day little friends. I have never left her for that long and was very hesitant. Everyone that I spoke to made me feel comfortable when I dropped her off. She had so much fun we added an additional 2 weeks. She loves the games and crafts, the water play, the days the ice cream truck comes, and especially Bernie the dog! I enjoy Wednesday when the hot dog truck comes and Fridays when the concession stand is opened so I don’t need to worry about packing a lunch. My child hasn’t napped since she was 2, yet every day after camp she falls asleep on the 10 minute ride home- from sheer exhaustion and fun in the sun! She has made more friends and wakes up with excitement for camp days. Since she’s 4, she doesn’t remember a lot of names, but she definitely knows and remembers “Mr.Korp”! He has definitely made this a summer to remember and I anticipate we will be returning for many summers in the future.
