Boulder Ridge Day Camp is an ACA-accredited traditional day camp in Barkhamsted for ages 4–14, running 9:00am–4:00pm with before- and after-camp care. Choice-filled days include Red Cross swim lessons, boating, sports, gymnastics, archery, a 30-foot climbing tower with zip line, low and high ropes, cooking, LEGO builds, and arts and crafts.

My wife and I are particularly grateful for how well the staff handled all the uncertainty around Covid, giving the kids as normal a camp experience as possible. The swimming lessons have been invaluable to our daughter and our pre-teen son got so much out of his experience as a Leader in Training, helping the little kids with some of their activities (despite some initial reluctance!). They love all great activities, especially the ropes course and crafts (though we probably don’t need any more hand-made slime brought back home). Thanks so much to all the friendly, helpful counselors. Our kids will be back.

He has been asking all winter if he will be going back this year. They provide towels, bug spray and sunscreen so he never came home bitten up or sunburned. We plan to send him for the majority of the summer this year. Great camp!
★pledd cMy nephew went here and niece worked here and neither liked the experience. My nephew thought it was boring and didn't like most of the staff and my niece said the administration cared more about how the camp looked than the kids and staff. My family will not send our kids there again and we will encourage other families to do the same. I am upset I paid the amount I did for my nephew to go just for him to have a bad time and upset with how they treated my niece as an employee. I recommend not sending your kids here or even applying.
