Camp Evergreen is a Sheboygan nonprofit, operating since 1926, providing summer camp and respite programming for children and adults with cognitive and other disabilities. Traditional five-day sessions run mid-June through mid-August, Monday-Friday, at a 3:1 camper-to-staff ratio, with swimming, arts and crafts, campfires, and community outings.

The staff are always attentive to his needs, and he is well cared for while he's there. They also keep him busy, engaged, and included, modifying activities to his ability or interest level when needed. Camp Evergreen also kick-started my career in the special needs field.
