I stayed here back in 96. We were volunteering at the Women's US Open at Black Wolf Run. It was great meeting girls from all over WI. I'm still in contact with a couple. Being around July 4th we went to the fireworks in Sheboygan and the counselors entered a cardboard boat race. The food wasn't that great.

Great camp that is accessible to all girls. Great memories have been made here. Unfortunately, i had to come back and edit this. Camp Evelyn is accessible but the girl Scout group overall is not. My child was a scout for 7 years. She raised hundreds of dollars for the organization, i was a leader for 6+ years, i advocated for many years for girl scouts. My physically disabled child was forced out of her troop by leaders who felt it was appropriate to discuss her disability without her present with the troop. They discussed how difficult it was to accomdate her disability with other childern without my child present.Obviously, this made my child feel terrible. I contacted Girl Scouts, found they have basically no guidelines to deal with disability. There was nothing done to the leaders. It ruined years of precious memories and still hurts her heart. I left two stars for the camp but the organization overall gets negative a million stars from me.

Wow! What an amazing treasure hidden within the woods! Camp Evelyn is not open to the public, but is it Girl Scout camp. I believe the location can be rented for other organizations if contacting the Manitou Girl Scout council. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, with many hiking trails, the Mullet river, and camp buildings throughout the grounds.

It is a fun place for girl scouts to visit. My daughter has camped here several times with her troop and loved it evry time. They even send a birthday postcard for a gift to select at next camp.
