Highly recommend Camp Encore/Coda in Maine for musical kids 🎶. My almost 11-year-old son is returning for his second summer and came back last year incredibly inspired. He said it feels “like home,” and the food is amazing (very important!). He plays both piano and cello and loved being able to continue both at camp through solo and group performances. A wonderful, nurturing environment for young musicians—we’re so grateful to have found it!

I hated this place as a kid. Can someone explain to them that it's a terrible idea to stuff a bunch of middle schoolers into one cabin for four weeks? They also straight up lied about there being no cell phones allowed. All they did was take their SIM cards. Also, that guy who runs this place is freaking mean.

Had fun last year, and will this year too! Everyone is very nice, and the view is amazing. To any parents, just take your kid here, it’s worth it.

My daughter attended for three summers during middle school, and had wonderful musical and social experiences each summer, making friends she keeps in touch with to this day. Last summer, she returned as a college student, this time as a member of the staff. The fact that so many of her fellow counselors were former campers is a testament to the quality of the program and the relationships developed among and between the campers and staff. For a young musician who also wants a traditional camp experience (with daily activities like swimming, boating, sports and arts and crafts), I would highly recommend Camp Encore/Coda as a place to spend a musically and personally enriching summer.

Our daughter went here for the past two summers and had a great experience. Parents day is very special to see your child and all the other campers perform together in so many different events.
