We experienced significant staff turnover and ongoing disorganization at this center, which made consistency very difficult. Communication between staff members was poor and often contradictory—one staff member would report that our son had a very difficult day, while another would give an overly positive report for the same day. This made it challenging to understand how our child was truly doing. This was our son’s first daycare experience, and we received very little support or guidance during what is typically a critical transition period. As a mental health professional, I was also concerned by what appeared to be a limited understanding of child development among some staff members. One of the most troubling incidents was learning that staff placed a weighted vest on our son without our knowledge or consent, and without consultation or guidance from an occupational therapist. This felt inappropriate and raised serious concerns about judgment and oversight. Additionally, the cost of care felt unjustified given the frequent staff days off and closures for vacations. Overall, this experience fell far short of our expectations, particularly in terms of communication, developmental support, and professional standards.
