Bowdoin Summer Art Camp is a fully supervised day in the art studio at Bowdoin College's Edwards Center for Art and Dance, 14 South Street in Brunswick, for children ages 6 to 13. Campers are placed in three age groups - 6-7, 8-10 and 11-13 - and move to a different studio after lunch, so each day has a separate morning and afternoon session with a lunch break and outdoor free play in between. Weeklong sessions cover drawing, painting, collage, fiber arts, sculpture, woodworking and shadow puppetry, and while most sessions run in the Edwards Center, some take place outdoors on campus as weather permits. No experience or expertise is necessary. A child may register for an age group if they are already the required age or will reach that group's minimum age on or before October 15, 2026. The camp is run by Bowdoin College's Office of Events and Summer Programs, which states it is unable to provide extended care services beyond the camp day.

Everyone leaves happy. The vibes are unparalleled. It is the sweetest camp and also the only camp my autistic child successfully participated in.
