Camp Doodles is a summer day camp for children ages 4-12, founded in 2001, with locations in San Francisco and around the Bay Area (including Petaluma, Oakland and Orinda). Days mix arts and crafts, sports, songs, skits, theme days and field trips in an open-ended, creativity-focused style. It draws many returning campers year to year.

I was terrified for him until he said that all the counselor did was make him swallow an old sausage!! Very relieved my kid is well-fed at this camp and he also had a great time on the play structures. Keep it up Camp Doodle!!!

★Esther B.Our son attended camp doodle in San Francisco. One day he was standing at the end of the slide to jump off when a young camp counselor thought it was a great idea to scare him. He ended up jumping and landing on his arm causing a break. The camp did not tell us so he suffered through an arm fracture for several more days until he was crying so badly at the camp that they were forced to call us. They knew what was making him cry and still didn't tell us. Due to the delay, we weren't able to get an xray for a few more days. Even after we got an xray the camp kept denying the incident and claimed he didn't cry and walked away just fine. They then said the camp counselor quit so we couldn't speak with her. In the end, we were forced to get a full arm cast out of an abundance of caution because the camp wouldn't give us any info and an xray doesn't show everything on young kids. We pulled our son out of the camp immediately and wouldn't recommend this camp to anyone. I just saw the response from camp doodle on 3/29/21. Again the camp is contradicting itself. Our son did not just get up and want to play after the fall. He cried and the orthopedist confirmed that a child with this type of injury could not just brush it off and would cry in pain. By this new account, the camp administered aid on Monday and still did not notify us that our child's arm was causing him pain at camp until he was crying uncontrollably a day or so later. Also, the information on the camp counselor written here was never shared with us. This new account has the camp counselor checking in with a 5-year-old about the accident. If a counselor felt the need to check if a child was ok days after an injury, wasn't there a duty to notify the parents about it in the first place?
