Birch Trail is a traditional overnight camp for girls ages 7 to 15 on the shore of Lake Pokegama in Minong, operating since 1959. Campers choose four- or eight-week sessions and take part in canoeing, sailing, swimming, water skiing, climbing, land sports, arts and crafts, dance, yoga and drama, plus an extensive wilderness tripping program. The non-competitive camp hosts about 200 girls each summer.

Love this camp! Can’t wait to send our daughter there next summer!!!
I am a parent of 2 girls who have been campers for years at Birch Trail. We live in Texas. My oldest daughter was a camper for 7 years and a counselor for one year. She went to college with 2 of her best camp friends (all 3 from different states) and became sorority sisters/roommates with them. They all just graduated college together with incredible memories for years. We are forever grateful for Birch Trail who brought them together. The friendships that are made at this camp are forever lasting and special. This camp allows each person to feel confident and be their best self. My youngest daughter has spent 10 years at Birch Trail and hopes to be a counselor next year. She also has made meaningful friendships - ones that I know she will have for years. I wish every girl could have the opportunity to spend their summer at Camp Birch Trail.
I am not a camp birch hill member but my daughter has been now for 2 years. 1st year she went for 2 weeks and could not get enough this year she went for a month and half way thru she called to ask for another 2 weeks. It is all she talks about. I love how you all keep in touch after camp is over. She accidently left her sweatpants & Rich sent them back to her. She has endless stories & always comes back with more confidence than she had before. I would recommend this camp to any parent. Keep up the good work Birch hill!!
I was a camper here for 7 years and a counselor for 1! This camp made me the person I am today! It made me unapologetically brave and strong! This camp taught me what it means to be a friend and also to have fun! To this day I dream of sitting under the service tree or at a campfire by the lake, always missing the freedom and happiness that came from my time there! If you’re thinking of sending your daughter to camp there is really one option: Birch Trail!
